If you’re using a Xiaomi, Redmi, or POCO phone, here’s something to get excited about — HyperOS 3 is finally arriving, and the rollout starts this October 2025. Xiaomi has confirmed that the global update begins this month, and a lot of the brand’s popular models are on the early list.

This isn’t just another system update. HyperOS 3 is designed to make your phone feel faster, cleaner, and more connected — especially if you’re already using Xiaomi tablets, watches, or smart home gadgets.

What’s New in HyperOS 3

The new version runs on Android 16, but Xiaomi didn’t stop there. The company has introduced a fresh “Liquid Glass” look, featuring smooth transparency effects, rounded icons, and refined animations. It feels modern without being flashy. Gizchina calls it Xiaomi’s cleanest interface yet.

You’ll also see a feature called “Super Island” — think of it as Xiaomi’s answer to Apple’s Dynamic Island. It handles alerts and app info in a more fluid way. On top of that, battery life and system speed have both been improved. According to Gadgets 360, multitasking feels snappier and scrolling is smoother than before.

Rollout Timeline

As shared by NotebookCheck, the rollout starts with Xiaomi’s newest flagships — the Xiaomi 15, 15 Ultra, Redmi Note 14, and POCO F7.

The second wave, through late 2025, covers the Xiaomi 14, Redmi Note 13, and mid-range POCO devices like the X6 and M6. By early 2026, older models such as the Xiaomi 13 and 12 series should also join the party.

Xiaomi plans to update more than 20 devices by the end of October in China, with the global rollout following shortly after.

Eligible Devices

Xiaomi: 15 / 15 Ultra, 14 / 14T / 14 Ultra, 13 series, 12 series, MIX Flip, MIX Fold 4, Pad 6.
Redmi: Note 14 / 14 Pro+, Note 13 series, K70 series, Turbo 3, select Note 12 models.
POCO: F7 / F7 Pro, X7 / X7 Pro, F6 / F6 Pro, X6 / M6 series.

Some older and entry-level phones won’t receive the update, mainly due to hardware limits, as noted by Cinco Días.

In India, the HyperOS 3 rollout is expected to follow shortly after the global launch, with beta builds already opening for Mi Pilot users, and stable release anticipated by late 2025

Before You Update

TechTimes reports that beta testing is already open through the Xiaomi Community app. Stable builds can take a few extra weeks depending on where you live.

Before installing it, back up your data — big updates sometimes cause minor bugs or resets, especially in early versions.

Final Thoughts

HyperOS 3 isn’t a wild redesign — it’s about refinement. The UI feels more fluid, the animations are cleaner, and performance finally matches the hardware Xiaomi ships.

If you’ve got a recent Xiaomi, Redmi, or POCO phone, you’ll probably see the update pop up before the year ends. Keep an eye on your notifications — this one’s definitely worth downloading.
